
The highly anticipated Nigerian Children Arts and Cultural Festival (NACAF) is gearing up for its 3rd edition, set to take place on the 27th of May 2024.
Dr. Oshodi Seyi Paul, the CEO of Oshodi Arts Gallery and the driving force behind NACAF, has revealed exciting details about this year’s event.
After a successful 2nd edition hosted at the Ikorodu Musical Village in 2023 with over 33 schools inattendance, NACAF is returning to its roots at the LagosState University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH)in lkorodu.
Dr Oshodi expressed enthusiasm about bringing the festival back to its original location, highlighting the significance of LASUSTECH in the festival’s history.
In a press briefing on the 8th of May, Dr Oshodi unveiled several updates and enhancements for NACAF 2024 to members of the press.
One notable change is the consolidation of the event into a single day, streamlining the symposium, cultural presentations, and performances into one action-packed day.
This adjustment aims to maximize engagement and showcase all facets of the festival’s vibrant programming.
Moreover, Dr Oshodi announced the introduction of special prizes for participating schools, adding an element of competition and recognition to the festivities.
Schools involved in the march parade, dance competitions, and drama presentations will have the opportunity to vie for these coveted prizes, encouraging participation and excellence.
In a nod to the event’s supporters and contributors, Dr Oshodi revealed plans to honour individuals and organisations that have steadfastly supported NACAF since its inception.
