GOVERNOR SANWO-OLU PAYS TRIBUTE TO LATE DEPUTY CHIEF OF STAFF, GBOYEGA SOYANNWO ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on the 23rd of May 2024, paid a heartfelt tribute to his late Deputy Chief of Staff, Gboyega Soyannwo, describing him as a dear friend, trusted ally, and beloved brother.

In an emotional farewell message, Governor Sanwo-Olu reflected on the profound impact of Soyannwo’s legacy and the void his absence has created within the administration.

“Gboyega’s legacy is vast, and his absence has left a profound void within our team and our mission,” the Governor stated.

He emphasized that Soyannwo was more than just a Deputy Chief of Staff; he was a steadfast believer in the administration’s goals and a cornerstone of many accomplishments through his relentless work ethic and unwavering commitment.

“His unwavering commitment to our shared dream of a Greater Lagos will forever echo in our hearts,” Sanwo-Olu continued.

“While we grieve his departure, we take comfort in the enduring impact he had on all of us. We take solace in the belief that he is now resting in a better place.”

Governor Sanwo-Olu extended his deepest sympathies and prayers to the Soyannwo family during this challenging period, acknowledging the personal loss felt by many.

He highlighted Soyannwo’s zeal for progress and selfless dedication to Lagos State as a lasting inspiration.

“My deepest sympathies and prayers are with the Soyannwo family during this challenging period.

Gboyega’s zeal for progress and his selfless dedication to Lagos State will serve as a beacon of inspiration for us all.

Let us all aspire to live as he did—embracing our community with devotion and compassion,” Sanwo-Olu concluded.

Gboyega Soyannwo died on Wednesday the 15th of May 2024 at the age of 55 after a brief illness.
