Hon. Wasiu Adesina, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, has announced that the long-overdue completion of Sanni Arowolo Street in Itunpate axis of Ikorodu central is set to commence under his administration.
In his statement to the Ikorodu News Network (INN) on Sunday the 26th of May 2024, Adesina emphasized the importance of the project: “The road is long overdue, and now the local government, under my leadership, is committed to its completion.”
Adesina noted that the council had previously constructed drainage on both sides of the street and is now prepared to begin the road surfacing.
“We have completed the drainage on both sides of the street, and now we’re set to flag off the surfacing of the road,” he stated.
To engage the community and ensure transparency, a stakeholders’ meeting is scheduled to precede the official commencement of the road surfacing.
This meeting will take place on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Sanni Arowolo Street in Itunpate coinciding with the official flagoff of the road construction.
“The completion of Sanni Arowolo Street is expected to significantly improve infrastructure in the area, enhancing mobility and boosting local development” Adesina asserted.
