During the official flagoff ceremony for the construction of Sanni Arowolo Street in Ikorodu Local Government, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, delivered additional promising news to local residents.

He instructed council engineers to take measurements of the adjacent Dada Street, signaling the potential for its construction.

This announcement was met with enthusiastic responses from the community, stakeholders and leaders, as the development of Dada Street is expected to enhance the effectiveness and accessibility provided by the new Sanni Arowolo Road once it is completed.

Dada Street serves as a critical link between Gbadamosi Road and Ota-Ona Road, and it also extends towards Kokoro Abu Road, which leads to the bustling Sabo Market.

Addressing the gathered crowd, Hon. Adesina explained, “As we flag off the construction of Sanni Arowolo Street, I have heard the residents’ pleas for intervention on Dada Street. This is why I have instructed our council engineers to measure the road for possible construction.”

Disclosing the council’s next focus, which is on Eleshin Road axis and also the commissioning of the  upgraded Primary Health Centre in Agura, Adesina assured that Dada Street is now part of their strategic plans. “Although our next line of action is Eleshin Road, we’re including Dada Street in our plans to ensure that residents receive the full benefits of democracy,” he stated.

Hon. Adesina reaffirmed his commitment to addressing the needs of Ikorodu residents, emphasizing, “We will continue to prioritize the concerns of the good people of Ikorodu to find solutions to their needs.”

“The potential construction of Dada Street is anticipated to bring more significant improvements to the local infrastructure, facilitating better connectivity and supporting the overall development of Ikorodu area” Mr Bolade Arogunre, Itunpate CDA Chairman said to members of the press after the chairman’s address.
