11th of June 2024, marks the fourth anniversary of the passing of Elder (Ms) Omolara Risikat Shobajo, a distinguished educator, mother, and community leader.
In her memory, her family has announced the establishment of the Lara Narrow Way Education Foundation and the launch of a unique initiative, “Wisdom on Walls.”
Set to be officially unveiled on July 1, 2024, the “Wisdom on Walls” project aims to perpetuate Elder Shobajo’s values and teachings by displaying inspirational quotes and educational maxims on the walls of educational institutions.
This initiative is designed to foster a nurturing and inspiring environment for young minds, drawing from the timeless wisdom that Elder Shobajo embodied throughout her life.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Builder Adeola Adebisi Banjo shared heartfelt sentiments: “Our mother, Elder (Ms) Omolara Risikat Shobajo, was deeply inspired by J.F. Odunjo’s poem, ‘Ise ni Ogun ise’ (Work is the antidote to poverty).
She dedicated her life to transforming Lara Narrow Way School into a place where dreams could take root and grow.
The ‘Wisdom on Walls’ project is our way of continuing her mission, ensuring that her spirit and teachings remain a guiding light for future generations.”
Elder Shobajo was renowned for her unwavering dedication to education and her commitment to the community.
She created a peaceful and strong home environment and turned Lara Narrow Way School into a sanctuary for young dreamers.
Her life was a testament to the transformative power of education, resilience, and unconditional love.
The Lara Narrow Way Education Foundation invites the community to join in commemorating Elder Shobajo’s legacy.
The unveiling event on July 1st will feature a ceremony introducing the “Wisdom on Walls” project.
