IKORODU NORTH LCDA CHAIRMAN, BLDR BANJO CELEBRATES NIGERIA’S DEMOCRACY DAY ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

Builder Adeola Adebisi Banjo, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA), commemorated Nigeria’s National Democracy Day with a powerful message that highlighted the significance of the day in Nigeria’s history.

In his message, Banjo explained that June 12th is not merely a date but a symbol of Nigeria’s collective resilience, unwavering pursuit of justice, and the undying spirit of democracy.

He stated, “As we reflect on this significant occasion, we honour the valiant sacrifices of our heroes past. Their relentless struggle for the return of democratic governance in our beloved country serves as a beacon of hope and a testament to the enduring power of the human spirit. Their legacy is our inheritance, a torch passed from one generation to the next, illuminating the path towards a brighter and more equitable future.”

Banjo praised the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing him as a stalwart defender of democracy.

“Under the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our nation stands poised to continue its journey of growth and consolidation. His commitment to democratic principles ensures that the sacrifices of our heroes are not forgotten but are the foundation upon which we build our future,” he said.

As Nigeria marks 25 years of uninterrupted democracy, Banjo called on citizens to draw inspiration from the courage and determination of those who fought for democratic governance.

“Their struggle is not just history; it is a living, breathing testament to what can be achieved when a people unite for a common cause. Let us harness this spirit to work together towards a future filled with promise and prosperity for all Nigerians,” he urged.

Banjo also reaffirmed his dedication to serving the people of Ikorodu North LCDA.

“As the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA, I rededicate myself to the service of our people. My commitment to you, the good people of Ikorodu North LCDA, is steadfast and unwavering. Together, we will uphold the values of democracy, promote freedom, and ensure the provision of essential public infrastructure, quality healthcare, and education,” he pledged.

Concluding his message, Banjo encouraged everyone to celebrate Democracy Day by renewing their commitment to democratic ideals.

“Today, let us celebrate Democracy Day and renew our commitment to the ideals of democracy, drawing strength from our past and hope from our future. Together, we will continue to build a society where every voice is heard, and every citizen is valued,” he said.
