The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, has announced plans for a presentation of brand new cars to two esteemed traditional rulers in the region.
This announcement was made in a statement to Ikorodu News Network (INN) on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
According to Adesina, the council will present the vehicles to the Ayangbure of Ikorodu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, and the Alagura of Agura, His Royal Majesty Oba Ahmed Moruf Olalekan Ogunnaike.
The presentation is scheduled to take place on Thursday, July 4, 2024.
“We understand the role of traditional institutions, and so the essence of this car presentation is to honour our traditional rulers for their roles in unifying our communities,” Adesina explained.
He emphasized that the gesture aims to recognize and support the significant contributions of the traditional rulers in fostering unity and development within Ikorodu communities.
The Ayangbure of Ikorodu, Oba Shotobi, and the Alagura of Agura, Oba Ogunnaike, have been instrumental in maintaining cultural heritage and promoting peace and harmony in their respective domains.
“The council’s initiative to present these cars reflects a broader commitment to strengthening the relationship between local governance and traditional leadership,” Adesina added
