IKORODU COUNCIL CHAIRMAN WASIU ADESINA UNVEILS CAR GIFTS TO TRADITIONAL RULERS ~ INN NIGERIA ☆

On Thursday, July 4th, 2024, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, officially unveiled car gifts to the distinguished traditional rulers of Ikorodu Local Government area.

As previously promised by the chairman, the generous gesture demonstrated the council’s dedication to recognizing and honouring the pivotal roles that traditional leaders play in unifying and guiding their communities.

At a formal unveiling event held at the council’s premises, Chairman Adesina unveiled a ribbon-sealed Toyota Highlander 2019 model for the Ayangbure of Ikorodu Kingdom, HRM Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, and a Toyota Kluger VG for the Alagura of Agura Kingdom, HRM Oba Moruf Olalekan Ogunnaike.

The presentation to the Alagura of Agura took place at his palace, where the chairman, along with a delegation from the council, personally handed over the car gift.

The Alagura of Agura Kingdom, HRM Oba Moruf Olalekan Ogunnaike, expressed immense joy and gratitude upon receiving a Toyota Kluger VG from Hon. Wasiu Adesina.

Oba Ogunnaike praised Chairman Adesina as “one of a kind” for his exceptional leadership and generous gesture.

The traditional ruler also offered prayers toward Adesina’s administration, wishing him continued wisdom and success in steering Ikorodu Local Government towards greater prosperity.

“This act of generosity reflects Adesina’s commitment to honouring and supporting our traditional institutions for the role we play in harmonising and strengthening our communities,” said Oba Ogunnaike.

Chairman Adesina explained that the car gifts were given to honour the traditional rulers for their steadfast commitment to fostering unity and development within their communities.

He emphasized that the vehicles are intended to facilitate their participation in meetings and other official duties.

“It’s all about promoting the cordial relationship between our local government and the traditional institutions in the land,”

“Due to time constraints, the council will present the car to the Ayangbure of Ikorodu Kingdom at a later date,” Adesina asserted.

The heartfelt gesture by Hon. Wasiu Adesina reflects the significant role traditional rulers play in community cohesion and development.

It also strengthens the bond between the local government and traditional institutions, ensuring ongoing collaboration for the benefit of Ikorodu’s residents.
