Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) – In a significant move to enhance hygiene and sanitation at Methodist Primary School in Elepe, the LCDA has commenced the construction of a block of eight modern toilets.
The initiative, spearheaded by Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA Executive Chairman Bldr. Olusesan Daini aims to provide better hygiene facilities for students and staff, addressing a critical need within the school.
The project has received widespread support from the local community, with parents and teachers expressing their gratitude.
“This new block of toilets will address a longstanding need in our school. It will undoubtedly have a positive impact on our students’ health and their overall school experience,” stated the Headmistress.
Scheduled for completion within the next four weeks, the LCDA has assured the community of timely and high-quality work.
The Works and Infrastructure Department of the LCDA will supervise the construction, which will be carried out by Hadmeth Global Resources Ltd.
Chairman Daini emphasized the importance of maintaining the new facilities once completed, stressing the role of collective responsibility in sustaining public infrastructure.
In an interview, Bldr. Daini detailed that this project is part of a broader strategy to improve public infrastructure across the LCDA.
“We are committed to ensuring that every child in our community has access to quality education and the necessary facilities to thrive,” he said.
