
Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, hosted a grand naming ceremony for his newborn child at his residence on Thursday the 18th of July 2024, drawing a significant turnout from influential figures across Ikorodu Division and Lagos State.
The event began with a Muslim naming ceremony attended by close family members and loved ones of the Agbaje clan.
The religious program, held in the early hours of the day, marked the official naming of the girl child, followed by a celebratory event that lasted throughout the day.

Prominent personalities who attended the ceremony included former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, and former Nigerian Minister for Works, Senator Adeseye Kingsley Ogunlewe.
Their presence signified the high regard in which Dr. Agbaje is held within the state.
Other notable guests included Mr. Bolaji Kayode Robert, the Honourable Commissioner for the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs, and Rural Development, and Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende, the Honourable Commissioner for Youths and Social Development.
Honourable Sanni Okanlawon, Chairman of the House Committee on Local Government and Community Relations at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs, and Rural Development, also graced the occasion.

Executive members of the Lagos State Centre For Rural Development (CERUD) and both House of Assembly members representing Ikorodu constituencies, Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye (Ikorodu Constituency 1) and Hon. Moshood Abiodun Aro (Ikorodu Constituency 2), were in attendance, reflecting the event’s broad political representation.
Additionally, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, Bldr Adeola Adebisi Banjo, Executive Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA, and Prince Wasiu Kunle-Agoro, Executive Chairman of Imota LCDA, were present, showcasing the local government’s support for Dr. Agbaje.
