IKORODU PECULIAR LIONS CLUB LEADS TREE PLANTING INITIATIVE AT SOUTH SPRING SCHOOL ~ INN Nigeria ☆

In a commendable effort to promote environmental sustainability and awareness, Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club recently organized a tree planting program at South Spring School, Federal Low Cost Estate, Ikorodu.

The event saw active participation from both students and teachers, underscoring the importance of such initiatives in educational settings.

With an impressive attendance of over 485 pupils, the event was a vibrant assembly of young minds eager to contribute to the greenery of their environment.

Teachers also showed enthusiastic support, demonstrating the school’s commitment to environmental education.

The school’s proprietress, Mrs. Osun Dosumu expressed her gratitude towards the club for their dedication to the cause.

She highlighted the significance of inculcating environmental responsibility among the young students, noting that the initiative would foster a sense of stewardship towards nature.

Leading the Lions Club team was the service chairperson, Lion Kayode Aluko, who was joined by four other dedicated members.

According to Lion Aluko, “Collaborative efforts ensured the successful execution of the tree planting project, which aimed not only to beautify the school premises but also to serve as a hands-on educational experience for the students”.

“This initiative by the Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club is part of our broader mission to engage communities in sustainable practices and enhance environmental consciousness.”
