Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, along with Honourable Commissioner for Local Government, Mr. Bolaji Roberts, and Dr. Olajide Abiodun Babatunde, Special Adviser on E-GIS and Planning Matters, conducted a significant working visit to HRM Oba Mohammed Musiliu Adio Yusuf, the Onisiwo of Tomaro and Abagbo, in Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State on the 24th of July 2024.
According to Dr Agbaje, the primary objective of the visit was to discuss the ambitious plan to transform the rural community of Tomaro into a mega smart city.
He continues, “This initiative aims to modernize the infrastructure and enhance the quality of life for residents by integrating advanced technology and smart solutions.”
“During the meeting, several key issues were addressed. Participants inquired about the potential benefits of the project for both individual families and the broader community. ”
“Questions also focused on how local stakeholders could collaborate with the state government to ensure the project’s success.”
“Additionally, the discussion included an exploration of the project’s anticipated timeline for completion.” He added
The visit marks an important step towards realizing the vision of a technologically advanced and sustainable rural community, showcasing Lagos State’s commitment to inclusive and progressive development.
