COMMUNITY COMES TOGETHER TO HONOUR LATE PRINCESS SCHOLASTICA CHINYEREM EZUMA WITH GRAND SERVICE OF SONGS AND WAKE-KEEP ~ INN Nigeria ☆




In a profound and moving tribute, the community gathered to honour the late Princess (Chief) Mrs. Scholastica Chinyerem Ezuma, affectionately known as Nelly, during a grand service of songs and wake-keep.

The solemn event took place at her residence on Igbodu Ijede Road in Ikorodu, Lagos, where the atmosphere was filled with both grief and celebration of her life.

Before the official commencement of the program, prominent figures paid their respects to the bereaved family.

Among the early arrivals were the Executive Chairman of Ijede LCDA, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, and Dr. Promise Okagwa, who conveyed their heartfelt condolences and offered words of comfort to the grieving family.

The Christian-organized event was a testament to Princess Ezuma’s significant impact on the lives she touched.

The program featured a tribute platform that allowed friends, family, and associates to reflect on and celebrate her remarkable contributions throughout her illustrious career.

Attendees shared anecdotes and testimonials highlighting her influence and the many ways she enriched the community.

Representatives from various organizations and communities paid their respects.

Notable attendees included HRH Eze Pst Okechukwu Anorue, Baale of Igbodu community, Executives from the Great Heights Women Achievers Club International, members of the Ikorodu Metropolitan Lions Club, alumni from her Unique Nelly Academy’s School of Cosmetology, and members of the Association of Rivers State Indigenes in Lagos.

The Ndi-Igbo speaking community in Lagos also came out in force to honour her memory.

Widows and other individuals whose lives were positively impacted by Princess Ezuma’s generosity and leadership shared poignant stories about her kindness.

Throughout the service, Princess Ezuma’s husband, Prince Daniel Ezuma, her immediate elder brother, Desmond Akawo, and their daughter received an outpouring of support.

Guests were encouraged to offer prayers for the family, asking for strength and solace during this difficult time.

Attendees were also invited to join in prayers for the family to find peace and for positive developments in the future.

Princess Scholastica Chinyerem Ezuma, revered as the Ada Igbo Gburugburu of Lagos State and Yeye Sewa of Egbin Kingdom in Ikorodu, passed away on May 7, 2024, following a protracted illness.

Her legacy of leadership, compassion, and dedication continues to resonate deeply with all who had the privilege of knowing her.
