LAGOS STATE FLAGS OFF CONSTRUCTION OF NEW COMMUNITY PUBLIC TOILET IN AIYEOPARE, AGA ~ INN Nigeria ☆



Moving to enhance public sanitation and combat recent cholera outbreaks, the Lagos State Office of Rural Development officially inaugurated the construction of a new community public toilet in Aiyeopare, Aga, Ikorodu, on July 24, 2024.

The flag-off ceremony was attended by key figures, including the Baale of Aga, the Council Leader, Mr. Adebola Ajayi, prominent community leader Mr. Bolaji Dehinsilu, and Community Secretary Olalekan Fatai.

This project is a critical component of the state’s efforts to improve sanitation and public health infrastructure in response to recent cholera outbreaks affecting the region.

The new facility is expected to significantly enhance hygiene standards and provide essential services to the residents of Aiyeopare.

Community members expressed their deep appreciation to His Excellency, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, for his administration’s commitment to improving their living conditions.


Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, emphasized the importance of this initiative in improving sanitation standards and preventing the spread of diseases.

He affirmed the state’s ongoing commitment to investing in infrastructure that supports the health and well-being of its communities.

“The installation of this public toilet reflects the state’s dedication to addressing pressing health and sanitation issues and underscores the broader goals of enhancing public healthcare and quality of life for Lagos State residents.”

“Constructing the community public toilet in Aiyeopare represents a crucial step toward bolstering public health and demonstrates the Lagos State Government’s proactive approach to addressing local needs and challenges,” Agbaje added.
