In a passionate plea, Aarebirin Hon. (Dr) Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba, the Chairman of the National Association of Local Government Vice-Chairmen of Nigeria (ALGOVC) and Vice-Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, has urged Nigerians to prioritize peace and shun protests that could incite societal unrest.
Folashade-Oba, the Global Director General of the Asiwaju Distinguished Ambassadors Movement (ADAM), in her message to Ikorodu News Network (INN) explained the critical need for empathy and love as guiding principles for shaping Nigeria’s future.
She emphasized that Nigerians should view the country as a place of immense potential and collective responsibility.
She urged citizens to appreciate the inherent value of their own nation rather than being swayed by the perceived allure of other countries.
By recognizing that the achievements of other nations often come from their own efforts, she encouraged Nigerians to channel their energy into improving their communities and contributing positively to national development.
Addressing the significance of current actions, Princess Folashade-Oba pointed out that the state of Nigeria today will impact its future trajectory.
She stressed that constructive actions taken now are essential in setting the stage for future progress and determining the nation’s leadership.
She cautioned against engaging in protests that could lead to chaos, stressing that maintaining peace is vital for the country’s advancement and stability.
“Today, there is a need for national unity and constructive engagement.”
“As Nigerians, we must all come together to build a more prosperous and peaceful future.”
“Only through collaborative efforts can Nigeria truly realize its potential as a leading force in Africa. Therefore, we must all commit to fostering harmony and progress and encourage one another to contribute positively to the nation’s growth and development,” she concluded.
