Hon. Taiwo Abimbola Owomilowomi, Majority Leader of Ikorodu West LCDA, successfully organized a medical outreach event on the 31st of July 2024, providing over 300 community members with free health screenings, vital tests, and consultations.
The outreach featured comprehensive medical services, including free chest X-ray examinations, tuberculosis tests, low-sugar tests, blood pressure checks, and HIV testing.
These services were administered by professional experts from The Society for Family Health (SFH), in collaboration with the Institute of Human Virology Nigeria (HVN) and the Lagos State Ministry of Health.
Participants of all ages—men, women, and children—received thorough medical attention using the latest test kits and electronic devices.
The outreach aimed to enhance community health and reaffirm the commitment to advancing healthcare services in the area.
Hon. Owomilowomi praised the efficiency of the collaborators and highlighted the outreach as a testament to the ongoing efforts to improve healthcare in the community.
He also noted that this initiative follows recent efforts, such as the approval given for Corp members to utilize Isawo Town Hall for similar purposes.
