On July 30, 2024, Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Clubs took a significant step towards public health by launching a Cholera Awareness Campaign in Ikorodu, Lagos.
The campaign, which began in the early hours of the day, was strategically held at Power Line Crescent, near Oluwaseun Petrol Station along Itoikin Road.
The event was spearheaded by the club’s president, Lion Sanusi Aminat NLCF, alongside the service chairperson, Lion Kayode Aluko NLCF, and other dedicated club members.
Their collective effort aimed to educate the local community about cholera prevention and the importance of maintaining good hygiene.
During the campaign, the Lions Club distributed over 250 flyers and almanacks containing vital information on cholera, its symptoms, and preventive measures.
The materials were well-received by residents, reflecting a strong community engagement and commitment to enhancing public health awareness.
The initiative is part of the Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Clubs’ ongoing efforts to address health issues and improve the quality of life within the community.
