APC NATIONAL YOUTH AMBASSADORS LAGOS MAINLAND CHAPTER MARKS SUCCESSFUL ADIRE PROGRAM WITH CERTIFICATE CEREMONY ~ INN Nigeria ☆

The final day of the Adire Program 2024, organized by the APC National Youth Ambassadors, Lagos Mainland Chapter, marked a notable success with its certificate presentation ceremony.

This event celebrated the culmination of a three-day intensive workshop aimed at preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Adire fabric-making.

The successful conclusion of the Adire Program stands as a reflection of the positive influence of empowered youth in embracing and celebrating their cultural heritage.

The Executive Chairman of Lagos Mainland Local Government, Hon. Mrs. Omolola Essien expressed profound pride in the youth who led the Adire program.

She praised their initiative for positively channelling their energy into this cultural preservation project instead of participating in protests.

“This program not only highlights our traditional attire but also showcases the creativity of our youth,” she said.

“It reflects the peace and stability of our local government, where events like this can take place without disruption.”



Hon. Mrs. Essien also took the opportunity to commend her own Adire outfit, crafted by the program’s participants, and thanked everyone involved in the training sessions.

Her sentiments were echoed by the APC Youth Leader Central, Hon. Matti Eshilokun, who lauded the youth for their efforts and encouraged them to continue promoting cultural pride and community engagement.

The event featured a variety of speakers, including Baale Otunmara Kalejaiye Kehinde, a respected community leader who promised to support each participant with a ₦5,000 token of appreciation for their dedication.

The Vice Chairman of Lagos Mainland Local Government, Hon. Emilagba Jubril also delivered a heartfelt address, highlighting the upcoming community projects, including the distribution of free GCE and JAMB forms, mini-buses, and palliative measures.

He encouraged continued community engagement and support for local government initiatives, concluding with a prayer for the community’s progress.

Emilagba Bisoye, the event’s coordinator, expressed gratitude to all attendees and distinguished guests, praising the graduates for their hard work and dedication.

The Adire Program has proven to be a beacon of how youth can positively impact their cultural heritage and community development.

The ceremony was further distinguished by the presence of notable figures such as Council Leader Hon. Azeez Oloto, Secretary to the Local Government Hon. Wasiu Ogunniyi, Prince H.O. Muhammad, Hon. Oluseye Olofin, Baale Oyingbo, and other esteemed community leaders.
