On Sunday, August 18, 2024, Bishop David Oyedepo, the visionary founder and presiding bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, delivered a significant announcement to his congregation that has sent waves of excitement throughout the church community.
Speaking during the Sunday service, Bishop Oyedepo revealed that the church’s highly anticipated 100,000-capacity edifice, aptly named “The Ark,” is slated for completion and will officially open for worship on November 29, 2025.
This new monumental structure, currently under construction, is poised to surpass the existing Faith Tabernacle both in capacity and in importance.
Faith Tabernacle, a 50,000-capacity auditorium that has served as the spiritual headquarters of the Living Faith Church since its dedication in 1999, will host its final major event, Shiloh 2024.
This annual global gathering, known for drawing tens of thousands of believers from around the world, will mark the end of an era at the Faith Tabernacle.
Bishop Oyedepo emphasized that Shiloh 2025 will be held at The Ark, heralding a new chapter in the history of the Living Faith Church.
The Ark, designed to accommodate 100,000 worshipers, symbolizes the extraordinary growth and expansion of the church over the past two decades.
During his address, Bishop Oyedepo provided an update on the construction progress of The Ark, stating, “The roof system is presently being worked on at the beginning stage, and as soon as they’re ready, it starts going up for fixing.”
He also assured the congregation of the readiness of all essential components, noting, “All the instruments are on ground, all the chillers for the central conditioners are on ground, all elevators and escalators are on ground, and thank God, you, our beloved members, are also on ground.”
In a heartfelt prayer, he added, “Everyone that hears this announcement today is not permitted to die,” underscoring the significance of the event for the church’s faithful.
Bishop Oyedepo also announced that the church will soon provide a virtual presentation to showcase the current state of the ongoing construction of The Ark, detailing the progress made and the path forward, rather than revisiting how the journey began.
The announcement has ignited a sense of anticipation and joy among members who eagerly await the grand commissioning of The Ark in 2025.
The landmark event is expected to draw global attention, further solidifying the Living Faith Church’s place as a beacon of spiritual growth and development.
