LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO RURAL DEVELOPMENT IN AGBEDE COMMUNITY ~ INN Nigeria ☆

The Lagos State Office of Rural Development recently convened a crucial meeting with key stakeholders from the Agbede community.

The meeting, which underscored the Lagos State government’s dedication to rural transformation, provided a platform for community members to voice their concerns and seek governmental intervention in several critical areas.

During the meeting, stakeholders from Agbede highlighted a range of issues, emphasizing the urgent need for state intervention.

The community representatives stressed that the challenges have long impeded the progress and development of their area, calling on the government to take swift and decisive action.

Responding to these concerns, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, reassured the stakeholders of the government’s unwavering commitment to rural development.

Dr. Agbaje emphasized that, under the leadership of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Lagos State government is resolute in its mission to elevate rural communities like Agbede to urban standards.

He further highlighted the government’s dedication to addressing the challenges faced by these communities and improving the overall quality of life for their residents.

Dr. Agbaje stated, “The Lagos State government recognizes the importance of rural communities in the overall development of our state. We are committed to ensuring that no community is left behind in our drive for progress and development.”

To this end, Dr. Agbaje announced that a team from the technical department of the Office of Rural Development would soon conduct a comprehensive needs assessment in the Agbede community.

This assessment, he explained, will identify and prioritize the areas most in need of intervention, allowing the government to focus its efforts on providing effective and sustainable solutions.

“The upcoming needs assessment will be thorough and inclusive, paving the way for targeted interventions that will significantly improve the lives of Agbede residents,” Dr. Agbaje noted.

“As the Lagos State government continues its efforts to bridge the gap between rural and urban areas, the Agbede community can look forward to a brighter future, marked by enhanced infrastructure, better access to essential services, and an overall improvement in living standards.”
