
The Rotary Club of Isolo has recently honoured Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, with a prestigious Community Service Award.
The award was presented to Dr. Agbaje at his office in recognition of his outstanding contributions to community development and rural advancement in Lagos State.
The award was presented to Dr. Agbaje by Rotarian (Princess) Tokunboh Allison, the 44th President of the Rotary Club of Isolo, for the year 2024-2025.
President Allison praised Dr. Agbaje’s dedication to improving the quality of life in rural communities through various developmental initiatives, stating that his efforts align with the Rotary Club’s mission of serving humanity and fostering goodwill.
She explained the numerous projects and initiatives spearheaded by Dr. Agbaje, which has positively impacted rural areas across Lagos State.
These initiatives include the provision of essential infrastructure and sustainable development projects aimed at empowering rural communities and enhancing their livelihoods.
In his acceptance speech, Dr. Agbaje expressed his gratitude to the Rotary Club of Isolo for honour and recognition.
He emphasised the importance of collaboration between government bodies and community organisations to achieve sustainable development goals and improve the standard of living for all citizens.
Dr. Agbaje also acknowledged the leadership of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, which has given his Office of Rural Development the leverage to implement various rural development programmes.
Other leaders of the Rotary Club, who accompanied the president, commended Dr. Agbaje for his dedication to public service and his impactful contributions to rural development in Lagos State.
According to them, the Community Service Award is a testament to Dr. Agbaje’s exemplary leadership and commitment to enhancing the welfare of rural communities.
