ADESINA: RESIDENTS’ FEEDBACK, STAKEHOLDER EVALUATIONS, AND MEDIA SCRUTINY DEFINE OUR PERFORMANCE STRENGTH ~ INN Nigeria ☆

The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Adesina has emphasized the council’s commitment to transparency and performance excellence, attributing its strength to a well-rounded evaluation process.

He made this statement on September 19, 2024, during a special question-and-answer session with the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) Ikorodu branch held at the council’s conference room.

Addressing the audience, Hon. Adesina detailed the core components of the council’s performance assessment, which consist of residents’ feedback, independent evaluations from key stakeholders, including those obtained during town hall engagements, and critical scrutiny from both the press and social media.

“Our strength, as far as performance evaluation is concerned, comes from the robust feedback we receive from the people we serve”.

“Through town hall meetings, independent evaluations from stakeholders, and the monitoring by the press and social media, we ensure that we remain accountable and transparent in our actions,” Hon. Adesina said.

The interactive session, organized by the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) Ikorodu branch, aimed to foster open dialogue between the council and external bodies in assessing the council’s administrative and developmental strides.

Hon. Adesina responded to various questions about the challenges and achievements of his administration, focusing on infrastructure development, healthcare, education, and environmental sustainability in Ikorodu Local Government.

Members of the institute praised the chairman for his openness and for involving multiple layers of accountability in the council’s governance.

They noted that incorporating feedback from diverse sources provides a holistic view of the council’s strengths and areas for improvement.

“The council’s use of multiple avenues, such as residents’ feedback, independent scrutiny, and media oversight, is commendable and promotes a more inclusive approach to governance,” remarked Mr. Alex N. Onwodi, Acting Chairman of the Institute.

Hon. Adesina concluded by reiterating his administration’s dedication to sustaining transparency, development, and engagement with the Ikorodu community, ensuring that future evaluations remain balanced and reflective of the residents’ needs and expectations.
