Alhaji Tijani Kamal-deen Babatunde Ajalogun, a leading contender for the Ikorodu Local Government chairmanship in 2025, has praised the Executive Chairman, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, for his transformative leadership and significant accomplishments in the region.
During a special interview with Prince Ganny Awobajo, the chief editor of Ikorodu News, on September 23, 2024, Ajalogun acknowledged Adesina’s impactful governance, which has significantly improved the lives of residents across various sectors.
Alhaji Ajalogun, in his statement, emphasized that Hon. Adesina’s administration has set a benchmark for development through extensive infrastructure projects, ranging from road constructions to the renovation of public facilities.
The current chairman’s initiatives in health care, education, and environmental sustainability were also praised for fostering community growth and providing essential services.
Ajalogun noted that these projects have positively transformed Ikorodu, the third-largest city in southwest Nigeria.
“If given the opportunity to serve, I will ensure that the progress Hon. Adesina has initiated is not only sustained but also expanded to cover every aspect of Ikorodu’s development needs,” Ajalogun stated with confidence.
He pledged to build on Adesina’s legacy by enhancing public service delivery, ensuring better resource management, and addressing the specific needs of underserved communities.
According to Ajalogun, his administrative experience, coupled with his deep understanding of the challenges and potential of the local government area, make him a credible candidate for the position.
Further reflecting on his extensive background in public service and leadership, Ajalogun cited his past roles in various administrative capacities within Lagos State.
He stressed that his years of service have equipped him with the skills necessary to address the multifaceted issues of Ikorodu, ranging from rural development to youth empowerment.
“Ikorodu deserves a leader who understands its unique challenges and is ready to drive solutions that will benefit every resident,” he added.
The interview will be aired as the inaugural episode of “My Mentor’s Corner,” a flagship program produced by Eromona Michael and coordinated by the INN-House team.
The program offers a platform for emerging political and community leaders to share their vision for the future, further positioning Ajalogun as a visible and influential figure in the race for the chairmanship of Ikorodu Local Government.
