HON. WASIU ADESINA TO BUILD LEGACY CLASSROOM FOR AFRICA BETHEL PRIMARY SCHOOL, IKORODU, FOLLOWING PLANNED COMPUTER SYSTEM DONATIONS ~ INN Nigeria ☆

Demonstrating commitment to enhancing education, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, has pledged to build a new classroom for Africa Bethel Primary School.

This promise follows a need assessment conducted by the chairman aimed at providing computer systems to the school on the 26th of September 2024.

During the visit, the head teacher of the school, Mrs. Fatola informed the chairman that there was no available space to accommodate the computers.

The news prompted a response from Hon. Adesina, who was moved by the congested nature of the institution and decided to take further action.

To address the challenge, Hon. Adesina instructed the council’s engineer (Mr Oladapo Oluseye) to immediately assess the available space within the school premises and identify an appropriate location for constructing an additional classroom.

This new structure, termed a “legacy classroom,” is set to alleviate the current space constraints and create a better learning environment for students.

Accompanying the chairman on this assessment was the Head of Education for Ikorodu Local Government, Mr. Adedeji Owolabi and other officials from the education department showcase the administration’s collective dedication to improving local educational infrastructure.

Mrs. Fatola expressed deep appreciation for the chairman’s efforts, lauding the positive impact the new classroom would have on the students.

She noted that the additional space would significantly reduce overcrowding, making the school more conducive for learning.

Furthermore, Mrs. Fatola explained the significance of the computer systems being provided by the council, emphasizing that they would enhance digital literacy and improve overall learning outcomes for the students.

The Council Boss explained, “This initiative reflects my broader vision of uplifting educational standards within Ikorodu communities, ensuring that local schools have the necessary resources and infrastructure to foster better academic performance.”

“The effort to support and strengthen educational facilities in Ikorodu once again demonstrates my administration’s commitment to leaving a lasting legacy in the local government area,” Adesina asserted.
