IKORODU RESIDENTS APPLAUDS  COUNCIL CHAIRMAN ADESINA FOR INFRASTRUCTURE STRIDES IN SOLOMADE, SANNI AROWOLO, AND AJINA ~ INN Nigeria ☆


Residents of Solomade, Sanni Arowolo, and Ajina areas in Ikorodu have expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, for his continued efforts toward infrastructural development in the region.

The commendations came as Hon. Adesina embarked on a series of project inspections on the 26th of September 2024, covering ongoing road construction works and key educational initiatives.



Hon. Wasiu Adesina’s administration has prioritized enhancing critical infrastructure in Ikorodu, with visible developments across many communities.

During his tour, he visited several project sites, including the ongoing construction of roads and drainages, aimed at improving access and connectivity for residents in Solomade/Adekayaoja, Sanni Arowolo, Itundegun/Ajina, Tayo Ajayi Close in Sabo Road.

The inspections were not only to assess the progress of the works but also to interact with community members and listen to their feedback.

Residents, visibly excited by the chairman’s presence, turned out in  numbers to show their appreciation.

Many praised the chairman for keeping his promises of delivering the dividends of democracy to the grassroots.

Some were seen singing and dancing in excitement, hailing the improvements they have witnessed under Adesina’s leadership.

Others prayed for his administration’s continued success, expressing hope that he would achieve even greater things for the community.

Speaking to Ikorodu News Network (INN), a resident of Ajina, remarked on how the road construction project will change the face of the neighborhood.

“We are grateful to Hon. Adesina. The road project in Ajina has been long overdue, and now we can see real progress. Our children will no longer have to suffer walking through muddy roads, especially during the rainy season,” he said.

Similarly, Mrs. Adunni Sanni from Solomade expressed her appreciation for the chairman’s attention to the educational needs of the area, as part of his tour also involved inspecting new classroom blocks being built to accommodate the growing student population.

“It’s amazing to see the focus on both education and infrastructure. Our children now have better learning environments, and we hope these developments continue,” she noted.

In his response, Hon. Adesina reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to making life easier for Ikorodu residents through sustainable projects.

He emphasized that his leadership is driven by the desire to ensure that all communities within the local government benefit from infrastructural growth.

“We are working tirelessly to bring progress to every corner of Ikorodu Local Government. These ongoing projects are just the beginning, and we promise more developments in the near future,” he said.
