IKORODU NORTH LCDA CHAIRMAN ADEOLA BANJO INAUGURATES MEDICAL OUTREACH CENTRE IN ITELE, ENHANCING HEALTHCARE ACCESS ~ INN Nigeria ☆



The community of Itele celebrated a major milestone as the newly built Medical Outreach Centre was officially inaugurated by the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA, Builder Adeola Adebisi Banjo on Friday, 27th September 2024.

This initiative marks a significant step forward in healthcare services for the town, fulfilling a long-held aspiration of the residents.

The event drew the presence of notable dignitaries, including Chief Waheed Oduguwa, Baale of Itele; Comrade Paul Ogunlana, the CDA Chairman; and Comrade Tunde Ige, the Joint CDA Chairman.

Key council officials were also in attendance, including Hon. Ola Ameen Apanisile, Vice Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA, along with Prince Niyi Odugbesi, the Secretary to the Local Government; Hon. Basirat Babatunde, Supervisor for WAPA; and the Supervisors for Works and Health.

Councillors of Ikorodu North LCDA, such as Hon. Niran Adeyemi, Hon. Sheriff Olakanmi, Hon. Abimbola Adaramola, and Hon. Baliqis Aderoju, graced the occasion alongside the Council’s Medical Officer of Health (MOH), Engineer, and HOU Information.

The Supervisor for Health, in his welcome address, stressed the importance of the Medical Outreach Centre in improving the health and well-being of the Itele residents.

He acknowledged the crucial role played by the council and the community in bringing this project to fruition.

Baale Waheed Oduguwa, the traditional leader of Itele, expressed his deep appreciation to Chairman Adeola Banjo for choosing Itele for such a vital project.

He assured the Chairman of the community’s unwavering support and called for additional developmental initiatives in the area.

During the event, Hon. Sheriff Olakanmi, one of the councillors, urged the residents to fully utilize the new facility.

He commended the council’s commitment to bolstering healthcare infrastructure within Ikorodu North.

In his keynote address, Chairman Builder Adeola Banjo reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to ensuring that quality healthcare is accessible to all.

He emphasized that healthcare is a basic right, not a luxury, and assured the community that the centre would receive ongoing support in the form of medical equipment, personnel, and resources to adequately serve the people.

Hon. Ambali Adeleke, Supervisor for Works, who had initiated the project during his time as a councillor, gave the vote of thanks, expressing his gratitude to all stakeholders involved in the centre’s development.

The commissioning of the Medical Outreach Centre signifies a pivotal achievement for Itele, providing much-needed healthcare services to the community.

This project further demonstrates the forward-thinking leadership of Builder Adeola Banjo and his administration’s commitment to uplifting the lives of residents in Ikorodu North LCDA.
