Demonstrating commitment to the welfare of his constituents, Hon. Kehinde Olaide Joseph, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, took significant steps to uplift the Ayanwale/Boltex community in Alimosho Constituency II.
The community witnessed the installation of a new 500KVA transformer, aimed at addressing the perennial issue of power supply and enhancing the standard of living for residents.
As part of the Lagos State Government’s rural electrification initiative, the installation of a new 500KVA transformer, approved by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, aims to drive development and enhance support for rural communities across the state.
The transformer, facilitated through the office of Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, reflects Hon. Joseph’s proactive approach to delivering tangible dividends of democracy.
Dr. Agbaje’s support in addressing the power needs of rural and urban communities within Lagos has been commendable, ensuring that essential infrastructure is brought closer to the people.
The 500KVA transformer, which is designed to provide an efficient and reliable power supply, is expected to boost economic activities in the area, particularly for small businesses that have been hampered by irregular power.
One resident expressed immense joy, stating, “This transformer is a game-changer for us. We are excited to finally have a steady and reliable power supply, which will not only make our lives easier but also enable businesses to thrive.”
Hon. Kehinde Joseph, while addressing the community during the handover ceremony, praised the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and Dr. Agbaje for their crucial roles in facilitating the project.
“I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to our dedicated governor and his Special Adviser on Rural Development for effectively using their positions to meet the essential needs of our community.”
“Their dedication to improving the lives of Lagosians is evident, and I am deeply grateful for his continued support in ensuring that our community thrives,” Hon. Joseph remarked.
