PATRICK OBAHIAGBON SLAMS WIZKID, LABELS HIM A “COCKALORUM” AND “ULTRACREPIDARIAN WHIPPERSNAPPER” BUT OFFERS FORGIVENESS ~ INN Nigeria ☆

In a fiery outburst that can only be described as quintessential, Patrick Obahiagbon, the former Nigerian lawmaker and noted grammarian, took to the airwaves yesterday to express his displeasure at popular Nigerian musician, Wizkid.

The subject of Obahiagbon’s characteristic verbal barrage stemmed from what he described as an “apoplectic vituperation” by Wizkid, who had allegedly insulted the political figure often referred to as Igodomigodo

“Wizkid is nothing but a cockalorum! A flibbertigibbet. An ultracrepidarian whippersnapper,” Obahiagbon declared, his voice brimming with the ornate and baroque vocabulary for which he has become famous.

According to him, the singer’s behaviour could be likened to that of an “obstreperous doodlebug,” continuing to describe Wizkid as a “Lilliputian delinquent” and a “cantankerous incunabula.”

Despite the heavy barrage of polysyllabic insults, Obahiagbon extended an olive branch, stating, “However, I forgive him. Selah.” His use of the term “Selah,” often seen in religious contexts, signalled a moment of reflection and perhaps closure on the matter.

Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, has not yet responded to the verbal barrage. While known for his musical prowess, he might be hard-pressed to find the right comeback to Obahiagbon’s linguistic artillery.

The incident has already sparked lively debates on social media, where fans of both the politician and the musician have weighed in on the war of words.

As Obahiagbon’s remarks continue to trend online, many are left to ponder the gravity of such an intellectual tongue-lashing and whether Wizkid will rise to the occasion with his own response.

However, for now, it appears that the battle may be over—at least on Obahiagbon’s end, who has chosen to let the matter rest, albeit in his usual grandiloquent style.
