In a special interview on October 8, 2024, Dr. Oshodi Seyi Paul, CEO of Oshodi Arts Gallery, emphasized the federal government’s need to fully leverage the National Orientation Agency (NOA) to communicate its policies effectively to the Nigerian populace.
Speaking with Prince Ganny Awobajo, Chief Editor of Ikorodu News, Dr. Oshodi remarked that many Nigerians are grappling with economic hardship and dwindling hope, but a more robust use of the NOA could alleviate growing tensions.
“Constantly publicizing the government’s plans and giving detailed emphasis on them will help calm the anxieties of ordinary citizens,” Dr. Oshodi stated.
He highlighted that effective communication with the public, particularly those at the grassroots level, could bridge the gap between the government and its people, restoring confidence in national leadership.
He further urged the Nigerian government to engage the masses through clear and accessible communication channels, ensuring that policy objectives are well-understood by all segments of society.
According to Dr. Oshodi, this strategy will not only foster transparency but also help Nigerians endure the current challenges with a renewed sense of optimism.
Dr. Oshodi also stressed the importance of traditional rulers and institutions in Nigeria’s progress.
He pointed out that these leaders, as custodians of culture and heritage, have a profound connection with the grassroots. Their collaboration with the government, he argued, is essential in driving development and fostering national unity.
“If all traditional rulers across Nigeria work together and with the government, we can unite the country and achieve faster progress,” he emphasized.
In addition to his recommendations for national progress, Dr. Oshodi revealed his upcoming plans to launch a new art, culture, and tourism magazine.
He believes the publication will revolutionize the creative sector in Nigeria and Africa, further promoting the continent’s rich cultural heritage and tourism potential.
The interview, set to be published on the INN-HOUSE YouTube channel and other social media platforms, highlighted Dr. Oshodi’s strong belief that through cohesive communication and collaboration between traditional institutions and the government, Nigeria can overcome its current challenges and move towards rapid development.
