In recognition of his outstanding contributions to rural development, the Oloruntedo Community Development Association (CDA), Igbe Kapo, under the leadership of its chairman, Mr. Fabuluje Titus has presented a Leadership Community Development Award to Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development.
The award presentation took place on the 17th of October 2024 at the Office of Rural Development in Alausa, Lagos.
Mr. Fabuluje, accompanied by the executive members of the Oloruntedo CDA, expressed gratitude to Dr. Agbaje for his continuous efforts in empowering rural communities through infrastructural projects and developmental initiatives.
In his remarks, the chairman noted that the impact of Dr. Agbaje’s work has been felt in various communities across Ijede LCDA, particularly in areas like Igbe Kapo, where the government’s interventions have significantly improved the quality of life.
Mr. Fabuluje emphasized that the community’s leadership was proud to bestow the award as a token of their appreciation for his dedication and visionary leadership.
In his response, Dr. Agbaje expressed his sincere appreciation for the recognition and reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that rural communities continue to receive the necessary attention from the government.
He acknowledged the support of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration and reiterated that the ongoing development projects were part of the state’s broader agenda to bridge the infrastructural gap in rural areas.
Dr. Agbaje also commended the leadership of Oloruntedo CDA for their proactive engagement in community development and urged them to continue working closely with the government to identify areas of need and suggest solutions.
He assured the community that his office would remain accessible to address any concerns and foster collaborations that promote sustainable development.
