IBEJU-LEKKI, ALIMOSHO RESIDENTS LAUD LAGOS GOVERNMENT FOR ELECTRIFICATION INITIATIVE ~ INN Nigeria ☆

Residents of Ibeju-Lekki and Alimosho Local Government Areas have praised the Lagos State Government for its continued electrification initiative aimed at enhancing power supply across rural communities.

The project, which is part of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to infrastructure development and improved living standards, has seen the distribution of transformers to several communities in need of stable electricity.

On October 24, 2024, the Oke-Olokun Community Development Association (CDA) in Ibeju-Lekki was the first to receive their new transformer.

Expressing their gratitude, the community secretary, Mr. Abiodun Giwa, and former Community Development Council (CDC) chairman, Mr. Abiodun Imam, alongside other members of the CDA, extended heartfelt thanks to the state government for this vital support.

They noted that the provision of the transformer would significantly improve the electricity supply in the area, boosting local businesses and the quality of life for residents.

Taro-Ilegbun CDA in Ibeju-Lekki LCDA also received a transformer.

The community’s chairman, Reverend Dabo Emmanuel Olasimbo, commended Governor Sanwo-Olu for keeping his promise to address the power challenges in the region.

Reverend Olasimbo emphasized the positive impact this development would have on the socio-economic activities of the community, further lauding the state’s commitment to rural development.

In a similar development, residents of Agbado Oke-Odo CDA in Meiran, Alimosho, were beneficiaries of the state’s electrification project as they also received a transformer.

Stakeholders in the community echoed the commendations, with many expressing relief that their long-standing power challenges would soon be a thing of the past.

Across the board, the stakeholders acknowledged the crucial role played by Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development.

They applauded his efforts in ensuring that the transformers were distributed to communities most in need, thus bridging the gap between urban and rural development.

The electrification initiative has been lauded as a transformative project that continues to touch lives across Lagos State, providing the much-needed infrastructure to propel growth in underserved areas.
