NOELLA FOUNDATION AND iCare FOUNDATION PROVIDE FOOD SUPPORT TO EMPOWER 500 RESIDENTS IN IKORODU ~ INN Nigeria ☆

In a vital initiative to enhance food security and combat hunger, Noella Foundation, in partnership with the iCare Foundation, led by Ikorodu Federal Lawmaker, Rep. Babajimi  Benson MHR provided food support to 500 residents of Ikorodu Division.

Held on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Ikorodu Musical Village, the distribution aimed to aid economically disadvantaged families facing challenging times.

The collaboration between Noella Foundation and iCare Foundation demonstrated a shared mission to address food scarcity and offer essential resources to struggling families.

The program delivered vital food supplies—rice, garri, beans, noodles, and cooking oil—intended to alleviate daily burdens and foster resilience among the community members.

Residents from across Ikorodu gathered at the Musical Village, where volunteers worked tirelessly to distribute the food items efficiently.

The atmosphere was marked by unity and appreciation as beneficiaries voiced gratitude, recognizing the aid as essential in supporting their families amid the rising cost of living.

Comrade Esther Jamishe, General Secretary of the National Youth Council for Ikorodu North LCDA, praised Hon. Benson’s dedication, expressing gratitude for his continued support through iCare Foundation.

“With food prices soaring, this program provides real relief,” Jamishe noted, describing the initiative as “laudable.”

She also suggested broader measures to tackle economic strain, recommending a regulatory body to stabilize food prices.

“A policy to control food pricing would significantly ease the burden on families,” she proposed.

Mrs. Christiana, Secretary of the Dwarf Association of Nigeria, echoed these sentiments, expressing appreciation for the initiative.

“We all know how hard things are, with food becoming increasingly expensive.

Noella and iCare Foundations have done something remarkable for us,” she stated.

She encouraged beneficiaries to use the food support responsibly, emphasizing its critical role in sustaining households.

Mrs. Adetoun Alogba, a resident from Ebute, reflected on Benson’s consistent commitment to community welfare.

“Rep. Benson always comes through for his people, be it food distribution, road development, or other essential services,” she remarked.

“He’s been supporting us even before the recent economic challenges. As things get tougher, he’s doing even more. God will continue to bless him.”

Valued at approximately N50,000, each relief package provided a substantial reprieve, according to beneficiaries like Mrs. Risikat Sikiru.

“This program is a true blessing, and the food items are worth around 50,000 naira. It will go a long way in easing burdens at home,” she noted, highlighting the program’s impact amidst growing financial difficulties.

Local community leaders commended the initiative, recognizing it as a response to immediate needs within Ikorodu.

“Rep. Benson prioritizes the welfare of his people, and today’s event reflects his enduring commitment,” they stated, emphasizing the importance of such grassroots efforts to foster community resilience.

By joining forces, the Noella Foundation and iCare Foundation have showcased the powerful impact of combined efforts in driving positive change, providing real support to families, and strengthening community bonds in  Ikorodu Division.
