ELEPE ROYAL ESTATE PRAISES GOVERNOR SANWO-OLU FOR 300 KVA TRANSFORMER, ENHANCING RURAL URBAN CONNECTIVITY ~ INN Nigeria ☆

Residents of Elepe Royal Estate in Ikorodu Central have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for the recent provision of a 33-line 300 KVA transformer, which will significantly enhance power supply and boost local development in the area.

The transformer, delivered to the community on October 26, 2024, is part of the state’s ongoing rural electrification initiative.

It aims to address electricity disparities between Lagos’s urban and rural communities, promoting equitable growth and access to essential services.

Speaking on behalf of the Elepe Royal Estate Community Development Association (CDA), Rahman Adedeji, the CDA Secretary, commended Governor Sanwo-Olu for the initiative, stating that the provision is a vital step in bridging the gap between rural and urban regions of Lagos State.

Adedeji remarked, “This project is not just about improving power supply; it’s about fostering development and raising the standard of living in areas that previously had limited access to reliable infrastructure.”

The 300 KVA transformer is a part of the Lagos State Rural Electrification Initiative, led by Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development.

Adedeji expressed particular appreciation for Dr. Agbaje noted that his office played a pivotal role in ensuring the community received this essential infrastructure.

“We are grateful for the efforts of Dr. Agbaje and his team. Their dedication to bringing essential services to rural communities has made a tangible difference in Elepe Royal Estate,” Adedeji stated.

The new transformer is expected to alleviate frequent power outages and fluctuations that have hindered business operations, educational activities, and overall daily life in Elepe Royal Estate.

Many residents believe that improved power stability will attract new investments, strengthen small businesses, and encourage youth entrepreneurship in the area.

Adedeji also highlighted that Elepe Royal Estate’s enhanced power supply will contribute to the state’s vision for sustainable urbanization, where even the most remote areas benefit from the infrastructural advancements typically associated with Lagos’s urban centers.

He urged other community leaders to maintain strong partnerships with the state government, emphasizing that collaborative efforts are essential in driving development and improving quality of life across Lagos.
