The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Adesina welcomed a distinguished delegation from the Lagos State Governance Advisory Council (GAC) to the council Secretariat today, marking an important assessment of ongoing development projects in the region.
Led by Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, the GAC delegation included key leaders from the All Progressives Congress (APC) East Senatorial District: Alhaji (Hon.) Rilwan Aleshinloye, Alhaji (Hon.) Abayomi Daramola, Alhaji (Hon.) Moshood Mayegun, Alhaji (Barr.) F.A.O. Akodu, and Alhaji (Barr.) Sulaimon Adebiyi.
They gathered to review and evaluate critical initiatives aimed at enhancing infrastructure and promoting effective grassroots governance.
In a display of commitment to community advancement, the GAC leadership discussed the Lagos State Government’s overarching strategic vision for sustainable development across local government areas.
This inspection aimed to ensure that Ikorodu’s ongoing projects align with this vision, addressing the pressing needs of residents while fostering long-term growth.
Senator Obanikoro, speaking on behalf of the GAC, commended Hon. Adesina and his administration for their dedication to Ikorodu’s progress.
He underscored the importance of maintaining high-quality standards in project implementation and emphasized timely completion as essential to uplifting the community’s living standards.
Expressing his gratitude for the visit, Hon. Wasiu Adesina praised the GAC members and APC East Senatorial leaders for their continued support.
He highlighted the value of collaborative efforts between local and state officials, which, he stated, are crucial for achieving meaningful improvements in Ikorodu.
Hon. Adesina reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to prioritizing projects that have a direct, positive impact on residents’ lives, including upgrades to road networks, healthcare facilities, and educational resources.
The delegation’s visit also provided a constructive platform to discuss both the challenges and opportunities facing Ikorodu’s development.

With encouragement from the GAC leadership, Hon. Adesina and his team, including Vice-Chairman Aarebirin Hon. Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba and the Secretary to the Local Government, Alhaji Lateef Afinni, expressed optimism about continued collaboration with APC leaders to drive impactful projects that aim to enhance the welfare and development of the Ikorodu region.
