At the 4th Annual Public Lecture and Award of Excellence organized by Pitch Communications, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, was celebrated with the prestigious Best Performing Local Government in Lagos East award.
According to the organizers, Pitch Communications, the Award of Excellence was presented to Hon. Wasiu Adesina in recognition of the overwhelming support he has garnered from the people of Ikorodu, attributed to his exceptional performance in the region.
The honour was presented by Mr. Akinyemi Bankole Ajigbotafe, the Lagos State Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, during the event held on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at the luxurious Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja.
This recognition underscores Ikorodu Local Government’s continued excellence in governance under the administration of Hon. Wasiu Adesina, further solidifying its reputation as one of Nigeria’s leading councils.
Themed “Building the Future Together,” the event also featured a public lecture focused on the topic: “The Role of Youths in Building a Prosperous Nigeria: Strategies and Action Plans.”
The lecture emphasized empowering young Nigerians to actively contribute to national development, aligning with the progressive vision of Lagos State.
Hon. Adesina’s delegation at the event included prominent figures such as the Secretary to the Local Government, Alhaji Lateef Afini; the Leader of the House, Hon. Adebowale Adebola; APC Woman Leader in Ikorodu Division, Alhaja Rashidat Bello; and other distinguished associates.
