SANWO-OLU TO COMMISSION 36 ROADS, 5 BRIDGES, AND A PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE ACROSS LAGOS STATE ~ INN Nigeria ☆

In a bid to further enhance Lagos State’s infrastructure landscape, the Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Engr. Olufemi Daramola announced during a press conference held yesterday at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre, the proposed commissioning of several major road and bridge projects by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Scheduled to take place next week, this landmark event will showcase the administration’s commitment to delivering world-class infrastructure to Lagosians.

According to Engr. Daramola, the Sanwo-Olu administration, has successfully completed 36 roads, 5 bridges, and a pedestrian bridge across various local government areas in the state.

These projects are part of the governor’s broader infrastructure development agenda aimed at improving connectivity, reducing traffic congestion, and fostering socio-economic growth.

Key Projects to Be Commissioned:
1. Rehabilitation and Upgrading of Babajide Sanwo-Olu Road (Dopemu Road), Agege

2. Construction of Babafemi Dada with Bridge and Road Network in Alimosho LGA

3. Reconstruction and Dualisation of Irede Road, Amuwo-Odofin LGA

4. Rehabilitation of Mumuni Adio (Buba Marwa) Road, Amuwo-Odofin

5. Rehabilitation of Aradagun-Mosafejo-Ajido-Imeke Road, Badagry (Phase III)

6. Construction of Samuel Ekundayo Road, Badagry LGA

7. Rehabilitation of Oyinkan Abayomi Drive, Ikoyi, Eti-Osa LGA

8. Reconstruction and Rehabilitation of Alternative Route to Admiralty Circle Toll Plaza, Lekki, Eti-Osa LGA

9. Construction of Adamo-Akanun-Agunfoye Lugbusi Roads, Ikorodu LGA

10. Reconstruction of Damaged Pedestrian Bridge at Estate Gate, Alapere, Kosofe LGA

Engr. Daramola highlighted that the road and bridge projects span multiple local government areas, including Agege, Alimosho, Badagry, Ikorodu, Eti-Osa, Ikeja, and Lagos Mainland, among others.

These projects are expected to significantly reduce travel time, boost economic activities, and enhance the living standards of residents.

The Special Adviser commended Governor Sanwo-Olu for his unwavering dedication to infrastructure development and expressed optimism that the projects would positively impact the lives of millions of Lagosians.
