IKORODU PECULIAR LIONS CLUB LEADS FEED THE HUNGRY INITIATIVE ~ INN Nigeria ☆

The Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club executed a remarkable Feed the Hungry project at Itamaga Bus Stop, opposite the Ansarulah Central Mosque in Ikorodu on the 6th of December 2024.

The initiative, aimed at alleviating food insecurity among residents, witnessed the distribution of loaves of bread, akara (bean cakes), and sachets of pure water to grateful beneficiaries in the early hours of the day.

While the project was spearheaded by the Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club, the Eko Centennial Lions Club lent its support, contributing to the smooth execution of the initiative.

The event was driven by the leadership of the Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club’s Charter President, Lion David Akinosho, and Service Chairperson, Lion Kayode Aluko.

Together with other dedicated members and volunteers, they ensured the project left a meaningful and lasting impact on the community.

Residents commended the initiative, describing it as a thoughtful gesture that provided much-needed relief during challenging times.

“This is such a blessing,” remarked a beneficiary, highlighting the difference it made in their day.

Lion David Akinosho emphasized the club’s dedication to addressing societal needs through impactful projects.

“This initiative is part of our ongoing mission to serve humanity and touch lives in meaningful ways,” he stated.

Service Chairperson Lion Kayode Aluko reflected on the success of the project, attributing it to teamwork and the spirit of service.

“It’s heartwarming to see the smiles on people’s faces. This is what service is all about,”

The Feed the Hungry project is a testament to the Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club’s commitment to making a difference in their community.

With support from the Eko Centennial Lions Club, the event further demonstrated the power of collaboration in achieving a common goal.

“The Lions Clubs’ initiative once again reinforces the importance of service organizations in addressing pressing societal needs and fostering a spirit of unity and compassion,” Lion Aluko added.
