The program also extended its reach to people with special needs, including members of the Association of Dwarf Nigeria, ensuring inclusivity and comprehensive support.
Rep. Babajimi Benson’s ‘Apo Anu’ initiative is a flagship project under his constituency outreach, aimed at tackling food insecurity and alleviating economic hardships.
Over the years, it has become a beacon of hope, providing essential staples such as rice and beans to thousands of residents amid Nigeria’s rising cost of living.
Testimonies from Beneficiaries
Mrs. Jolaoye Yetunde from Ikorodu Central praised the initiative, calling it “lifesaving” during these challenging times.

Similarly, Mrs. Odunowo Afolashade expressed gratitude for the program’s impact, particularly during the festive season.
She noted, “If you can feed the poor at this stage, you’ve saved lives. It goes a long way, especially at this time of year.”
A first-time recipient, Mr. Nwojoku Christian from Ward G shared his appreciation: “This is my first time collecting this package, and I must say it is very good. Hon. Benson has been consistent in showing care for the people, and we are truly grateful.”
Mrs. Christianah, Secretary of the Dwarf Association of Nigeria, also commended the program, highlighting its inclusivity: “We are truly grateful for the consistent inclusion of our members in this program. It means a lot to us that our unique needs are acknowledged and catered to.”
