Hon. Ogunfunye Feyishola, the representative of Agege Constituency 02 at the Lagos State Youth Parliament, successfully led a cleanup exercise in the Saka Tinubu area of Agege on December 28, 2024.
The initiative focused on fostering community development and advancing environmental sustainability.
The exercise brought together various youth organizations as volunteers, resulting in the collection of over 100 bags of waste.
This effort not only improved the area’s cleanliness but also underscored the impact of youth-driven initiatives in promoting a healthy and sustainable environment while emphasizing the value of community participation.
As part of the exercise, residents were educated on proper waste management practices.
A particularly noteworthy interaction involved encouraging a local resident known for improper waste disposal to take on the role of an environmental ambassador, promoting cleanliness within the community.
