IKORODU LG COMPLETES SOLOMADE/ADEKAYAOJA ROAD CONSTRUCTION: READY FOR COMMISSIONING ~ INN Nigeria ☆

The long-awaited Solomade/Adekayaoja road construction project undertaken by Ikorodu Local Government has been successfully completed and is now set for commissioning.

This update was shared on social media by the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, on the 5th of January 2025, who expressed delight at the completion of the project.

Flagged off in 2024, the road project was part of Hon. Wasiu Adesina’s commitment to improving infrastructure and creating an effective road network for residents and commuters in the central part of Ikorodu.

Stretching through the bustling Solomade and Adekayaoja areas (behind the Ayangburen’s palace), the road is designed to ease traffic congestion, improve connectivity, and enhance the overall quality of life for residents.

Speaking about the project, Hon. Adesina emphasized its importance in boosting local commerce and providing a smoother transit experience for daily commuters.

“This road is a testament to our administration’s resolve to deliver impactful projects that address the pressing needs of our people. We are thrilled that this major milestone has been achieved,” he stated.

Residents have commended the local government for prioritizing infrastructure development, citing the road’s completion as a significant relief for motorists and businesses operating in the area.

The road, now fully paved and equipped with modern drainage systems, is expected to reduce flooding and ensure durability during the rainy season.

The commissioning ceremony for the Solomade/Adekayaoja road is expected to attract key stakeholders, including community leaders, traditional rulers, and government officials, to celebrate yet another achievement of the Adesina-led administration in Ikorodu Local Government.

This development is part of broader efforts by the Ikorodu Local Government to address infrastructural deficits and drive socio-economic growth across the region.
