
The Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA) has distributed additional operational equipment to its Corps officers across the 57 Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).
The General Manager of the Agency, Prince Dr. Ifalade Oyekan issued a stern directive to the officers to handle the equipment with utmost care while discharging their duties.
Addressing the Commanding Officers during the distribution exercise, Dr. Oyekan lauded Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for his unwavering support and investment in the safety of Lagos residents.
He emphasized the need for the officers to remain diligent in their responsibilities and ensure the tools are used effectively to serve the people of Lagos State.
“Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State, has been very gracious to this Agency and its Corps, and we owe the people of Lagos State to be diligent at our work while also protecting the equipment put at our disposal,” Dr. Oyekan stated.
The distributed items include Flashlights, Intelligence Pen Recorders, Binoculars with Night Vision capabilities, and Megaphones, which are aimed at enhancing the Corps’ community engagement initiatives and operational effectiveness.
This move underscores the Lagos State Government’s commitment to improving security infrastructure and ensuring safer neighbourhoods through enhanced surveillance, intelligence gathering, and effective community interaction.
Dr. Oyekan called on the officers to rise to the expectations of their roles, urging them to employ the newly acquired tools responsibly to maintain peace and order across their respective jurisdictions.
The distribution of the new equipment is part of the Lagos State Government’s broader strategy to strengthen community policing and improve the safety of lives and property in the State.
