EDUCATION DISTRICT II CELEBRATES WINNERS OF INSURANCE QUIZ COMPETITION ~ INN Nigeria ☆

The Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary (TG/PS) of Education District II, Mrs. Anike Adekanye has celebrated the outstanding achievements of the winners of the Year 2024 Insurance Quiz Competition organized by the Nigeria Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB), Lagos Area Committee.

The celebration, held recently at the District Headquarters in Maryland, was aimed at recognizing and encouraging students’ academic excellence while motivating others to emulate their peers’ accomplishments.

Speaking during the event, Mrs. Adekanye expressed immense pride in the students’ performances, highlighting the importance of acknowledging their hard work and determination. “We will always celebrate the excellence and great achievement of our students in Education District II.”

“This, I believe, will be a source of encouragement and motivation for both winners and other students to continue to strive harder in their educational pursuit and improve their performances,” she remarked.

She also commended the organizers for their professionalism and collaboration with the Lagos State Government in advancing the state’s educational goals.

The grand finals of the quiz competition featured 12 schools from the six Education Districts of Lagos State.

Eva Adelaja Senior Girls’ Grammar School and Government Senior Model College, Ikorodu, both representing Education District II, emerged as first – and third-place winners, respectively.

Mrs. Adekanye attributed such achievements to the visionary education policies of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, which have fostered public-private partnerships in education.

She further applauded the unwavering support of the Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat, the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Jamiu Tolani Ali-Balogun, and other key stakeholders.

The Chairman of the NCRIB Lagos Area Committee, Mr. Ademola Olutusin highlighted the significance of the competition.

He explained that this second edition was designed to enhance insurance awareness and education among Lagos State students, encouraging them to consider pursuing careers in the insurance industry.

The celebratory event reaffirmed Education District II’s commitment to academic excellence and the overall development of Lagos State students.
