HON. WASIU ADESINA GIFTS VEHICLE TO AYANGBUREN OF IKORODU KINGDOM ~ INN Nigeria ☆

Hon. Wasiu Adesina, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, on January 14, 2025, presented a brand-new Toyota Highlander SUV to His Royal Majesty, Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu Kingdom, in a gesture underscoring the importance of traditional institutions.

The presentation ceremony, held at the Ayangburen Palace in Ikorodu, was attended by prominent dignitaries, including the council’s management staff, Councillors, Supervisory Councilors, Party Stewards, and the WADESH Babes group.

During the event, Hon. Adesina reiterated his administration’s commitment to supporting traditional leadership, describing it as a statutory responsibility of his office.

He acknowledged the critical role of the Ayangburen’s Palace in maintaining cultural heritage and fostering community development.

Expressing his gratitude to the monarch, his cabinet, and key political figures, Adesina also highlighted the reconciliation efforts led by Bashorun Babatunde Rotinwa, former Chairman of the Lagos State Civil Service Commission, and Alhaji Amid Adekunle Oduborisa, which resolved lingering disputes between his administration and the royal palace.

The Chairman noted that the SUV would enhance the efficiency of the palace’s functions and serve as a symbol of unity and progress in Ikorodu Local Government.

The ribbon for the vehicle was officially cut by Bashorun Rotinwa, who commended Hon. Adesina for his inclusive leadership style and unwavering dedication to the region’s development.

Chief Saliu Awolesi (Akpesi), representing Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, received the vehicle on behalf of the monarch and praised the council chairman’s visionary leadership.

He offered prayers for continued growth and progress in Ikorodu under Adesina’s administration.

The event concluded with a celebration of strengthened ties between the local government and the traditional institution, a partnership expected to further propel the community toward sustainable development.
