REP. BABAJIMI BENSON COMMISSIONS 3.6-KM ROAD AT ERUWEN, CONNECTING SEVEN COMMUNITIES & 19 CDAs ~ INN Nigeria ☆

On January 18, 2025, Rep. Babajimi Benson, Member of the House of Representatives representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, commissioned a 3.6-kilometer road in Eruwen, Ikorodu North LCDA.

The newly constructed road is set to serve as a vital link, connecting seven communities and 19 Community Development Associations (CDAs), fostering better connectivity and enhancing socio-economic activities in the region.

The project represents Rep. Benson’s commitment to developing the Ikorodu Division through impactful infrastructure initiatives.

At the event, Rep. Benson highlighted the significance of infrastructure development in uniting communities and facilitating seamless access to goods, services, and opportunities.

He revealed that 22 additional projects are currently ongoing within the division as part of his broader vision to improve the constituency’s infrastructure.

The commissioning ceremony attracted prominent dignitaries and political leaders, including former Lagos State Deputy Governor Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, former Nigerian Minister of Works Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, Ikorodu Apex Leader Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, Asiwaju Kaoli Olusanya, and the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje.

Hon. Apanisile Olawale Ameen, Vice Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA, representing the Chairman, Bldr. Adeola Adebisi Banjo expressed deep gratitude to Rep. Benson for his efforts in actualizing the project.

He emphasized its importance in promoting local growth, improving access, and boosting economic activities.

Otunba Olaniyi Banjoko, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, also praised Rep. Benson’s dedication to Ikorodu’s development, noting the road’s impact on peace, unity, and the overall well-being of residents.

He appealed to the lawmaker to consider additional projects, such as the reconstruction of the dilapidated Radio Road and the construction of a secondary school to address the community’s growing needs.

In his address, Rep. Babajimi Benson expressed his appreciation to the Eruwen community and acknowledged the contributions of his supporters, particularly Bobakaiye and Niyi Olowosoke.

He assured residents of his continued focus on community road networking, emphasizing the importance of infrastructure in driving socio-economic progress.

He announced plans for a new road construction project in the Igbo Oluwo and Radio areas to further improve connectivity.

Rep. Benson reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring all parts of the constituency benefit from ongoing infrastructural advancements, stressing the significance of these projects in boosting commerce, healthcare access, and education.

Prince Abiodun Ogunleye lauded Rep. Benson’s leadership and the positive impact of his projects on the Ikorodu Division. “He has demonstrated true leadership and shown what democracy should look like,” Ogunleye stated.

Similarly, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun highlighted the visible satisfaction of the people with Rep. Benson’s work and urged Eruwen residents to continue supporting the APC and its representatives in the upcoming elections.

Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe reinforced this call, stressing the importance of voter participation in sustaining community progress.

The event marked another milestone in the ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure in Ikorodu Division, underscoring the role of democracy and active citizen participation in community development.

Otunba Fatai Olukoga, Adeola Jokomba (former Chairman of Ikorodu North CDA), Hon. Motunrayo Alogba (Executive Chairman of Ijede LCDA), Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olarewaju (Executive Chairman of Ikorodu West LCDA), Hon. Wasiu Adesina (Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government), Bldr. Sesan Daini (Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA), as well as Ward Chairmen, CDA representatives, and other stakeholders, were also in attendance.
