COVENANT UNIVERSITY’s TRAINING MODEL WORKS – OYEDEPO DECLARES AS 2,449 FRESHMEN MATRICULATE ~ INN Nigeria ☆

The Chancellor and Chairman, Board of Regents, Covenant University, Dr. David Oyedepo, has reaffirmed the effectiveness of the university’s training model, urging new students to align with the system for transformative growth.

Speaking at the 23rd Matriculation Ceremony for undergraduates, postgraduates, and Open and Distance e-Learning (CCODeL) students for the 2024/2025 academic session, held on Friday at the university campus, Oyedepo emphasized that the quality of training determines the success of the trainees.

“Our graduates are excelling globally because of the structured training they received here. Our model works and continues to yield results. Many of our alumni lead in their respective fields. I encourage you, as new intakes, to embrace this system and not be left out,” he advised.

He also urged students to embrace academic diligence, stating, “There is no star without a scar, and the price of greatness is sacrifice. Be prepared to put in the effort if you desire success.”

Additionally, Oyedepo called on parents and guardians to support their wards in aligning with the university’s values, emphasizing that Covenant University remains committed to producing solution-driven graduates.

In his address, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Timothy Anake, encouraged students to uphold the institution’s culture of excellence and maximize the opportunities available to them.

“As you officially join the Covenant University family, I urge you to approach this journey with gratitude and determination. Uphold the highest standards of integrity, responsibility, and service. The road ahead will be challenging, but it will also be rewarding,” he assured.

Professor Anake also reassured parents of the university’s dedication to providing a holistic educational experience that fosters leadership and innovation.

Covenant University welcomed a total of 2,449 students across its undergraduate, postgraduate, and CCODeL programs.
