
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has officially unveiled the 2024/25 Lagos Youth Ambassadors at a ceremony held today at the State House, Alausa.
The newly appointed Youth Ambassadors include Obadare Adenekan as the State Youth Ambassador, alongside Faizah Adediran (Ikeja Division), Bukola Aladesulu (Badagry Division), Dolapo Oshikoya (Ikorodu Division), Mohammed Sheriff (Lagos Division), and Divine Favour Apata (Epe Division).
Governor Sanwo-Olu reaffirmed his administration’s strong commitment to youth empowerment, emphasizing that the ambassadors will play a pivotal role in championing youth-centric policies, fostering social transformation, and driving inclusivity across all sectors.
He stressed the importance of youth participation in governance, ensuring that young people are not only recipients of policies but also active contributors to the progress of the State.
The Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mr. Mobolaji Abubakre Ogunlende applauded the ambassadors for their dedication and encouraged them to embody leadership, integrity, and excellence in their new roles.
Permanent Secretary, Pharm. (Mrs.) Toyin Oke-Osanyintolu highlighted that the ambassadors have been entrusted with spearheading youth-driven initiatives, fostering innovation, and amplifying the voices of Lagos youths in governance and community development.
The event witnessed the presence of officials from the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, members of the Lagos State Youth Parliament, representatives of the Nigerian Youth Parliament, and the Lagos State Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria.
