Media practitioners across Lagos came together to celebrate Mrs. Titilayo Essien, the Head of the Information Department at Ikorodu Local Government, as she marked her birthday on February 12, 2025.
Since her transfer to Ikorodu Local Government in 2024, Mrs. Essien has distinguished herself as a trailblazer in the department, demonstrating exceptional diligence, professionalism, and a visionary approach to information management within the council.
Her birthday celebration coincided with the council’s 4th Annual Thanksgiving Service, where she was honored by the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, and his wife, Mrs. Abolanle Adesina.
Prominent media houses, including Lagos State Television (LTV), News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Ikorodu Oga Radio, Globe Telly Media, Newsconnect Online, and Ikorodu News Network (INN), later gathered at her office to celebrate the occasion.
During the visit, the media practitioners joined Mrs. Essien in cutting her birthday cake, singing celebratory songs, and expressing their appreciation for her commitment to fostering a productive working relationship between the media and the local government.
They commended her professionalism, accessibility, and proactive engagement, noting that she has played a key role in projecting the council’s activities positively.
