The collaboration was formally introduced on Wednesday during a courtesy visit and facility tour of H&Y Furniture Manufacturers’ state-of-the-art semi-automated factory in Ibeshe, Ikorodu, Lagos, led by the Executive Secretary of LASTVEB and other senior officials.
During the visit, Mrs. Feyisola Abiru, Managing Director of H&Y Furniture Manufacturers, emphasized the importance of equipping young Nigerians with practical skills that meet global industry standards.
She noted that the company’s training arm, H&Y Woodcraft EPIIC Academy, is dedicated to developing competent professionals by integrating modern furniture production techniques with strong ethical values.
“To build a sustainable future, we must prioritize skill development. Through H&Y Woodcraft EPIIC Academy, we are empowering young Nigerians with cutting-edge knowledge in furniture manufacturing, ensuring they are prepared for both local and global opportunities,” Abiru said.
The Executive Secretary of LASTVEB, Mrs. Azeez commended H&Y Furniture Manufacturers for its commitment to youth development and economic growth through technical education.
