In a collaborative effort to enhance eye care services in Ikorodu, Darren Vision Eye Care is partnering with Ikorodu Local Government to commission a fully equipped Eye Clinic at Ita-Elewa Primary Health Centre (PHC).
The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, made this announcement while addressing journalists from the Ikorodu News Network (INN) on March 15, 2025.
He emphasized that the new facility, provided by Darren Vision Eye Care, is aimed at improving vision health within the community.
According to Hon. Adesina, the official commissioning of the eye clinic will take place on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Ita-Elewa PHC.
As part of the launch, Darren Vision Eye Care will conduct free eye tests and provide free eyeglasses to individuals with vision challenges for a two-day period following the commissioning.
“During the commissioning ceremony, Darren Vision Eye Care will be offering free eye tests and eyeglasses to those in need,” Adesina stated.
“This initiative is designed to assist residents struggling with eye-related issues and ensure they receive the necessary support.”
The Chairman urged residents, particularly those experiencing vision impairments, blurry eyesight, or other eye-related conditions, to take advantage of this two-day free eye care program at Ita-Elewa PHC.
The new eye clinic is expected to offer comprehensive eye care services, including vision screening, diagnosis, treatment, and referrals for advanced medical care.
