Ikeja Electric (IE) marked International Women’s Day with an inspiring event featuring renowned speakers who shared insights on leadership, well-being, financial literacy, and personal growth on the 14th of March 2025.
The hybrid session, themed #AccelerateAction, brought together accomplished professionals, including Mrs. Ibukun Awosika, Mrs. Betty Irabor, Maje Ayida, Jummai Logun, Toyin Kekere-Ekun, and Olufunke Jones, who encouraged women to embrace confidence and self-development.
IE’s Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Folake Soetan applauded the contributions of women in the organization, urging them to break barriers and own their spaces with confidence.
Mrs. Ibukun Awosika emphasized the importance of mentorship and resilience in leadership, while Mrs. Betty Irabor highlighted the need for prioritizing mental health in the workplace.
Maje Ayida advised women to approach self-improvement with the same dedication as physical fitness, promoting the L.I.O.N mindset—Leader, Innovative, Outspoken, and Network.
Discussions also covered ageing gracefully, financial management, and gender equity, with speakers stressing the importance of self-care, savings culture, and collaborative leadership.
